So how’s your weekend been, have many trick or treater’s on Halloween? remember to set your clock back an hour? Having a nice evening Saturday (mid 50’s and clear) made for a lot of trick or treater’s in the neighborhood, around 140 (neighbor across the street counted them), most we have had in a long time, normally we average around 70. I enjoy seeing all the cute costumes on the little one. Also this weekend the Hallmark Christmas movies started and it’s the perfect weekend with the extra hour, I know I’ve seen most of the movies, but they are still enjoyable to watch!
Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #168, banner with link below. I’d like to thank the team of designers over at Paper Craft Crew for picking my card submission for challenge #166 as a Design Team Top Pick, it’s such a honor! You can see that original post here. Don’t forget to check out the Paper Craft Crew blog.
To make today’s card I started with some ink pads (Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight & Cucumber Crush) and the Flower Patch bundle (Flower Patch stamp set with matching Flower Fair Framelits at a 15% discount). Stamped two flowers and three leaves and ran them through my big shot using the magnetic platform. Since I had my big shot out, I die cut the ‘for you’ from the mini-treat bag thinlit set using Daffodil Delight card stock. To put the card together, I started with a card base of Soft Suede 5″ x 10″, scored at 5″ that I will be using for a top folding card. Next is a piece of Into the Woods Designer Series Paper that I rounded the corners on, using the Project Life Corner Rounder, adhered with liquid glue. After that I took a piece of Natural Chevron Ribbon wrapped it around the front of the card (including the inside) to determine length, cut it, flipped it to the backside and adhered to the card with glue dots. Flowers and leaves are adhered with dimensionals and used different pearls for accent.
With the ‘for you’ on the outside this is the perfect card to have laying around so that the inside can be stamped for any reason: birthday – get well – thank you – only limited by your imagination!
Thank you for stopping by today, hope you liked the card. Click on any of the images below for more product information or to place an on-line order. Have a great day, Craft On!
