With the new annual catalog starting May 4th, with the exception of the In Good Taste 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, all designer series paper retires and I wanted to provide some card samples using these papers for the base of cards.
For my first card I’m using the retiring Well Suited 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, Geared Up Garage Cling Mount Stamp set and Garage Gear Dies.
For the inside I’ve stamped the oil spot in a stamped off version of Cajun Craze ink, then the greeting is stamped with Memento Black Ink.
For my second sample I’m using the Fine Art Floral 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the coordinating Art Gallery Bundle (stamp set and dies).
Here is the card once the belly band is removed. I will be stamping the inside what I know the card will be used for.
Measurements for today cards:
- Card stock – 4¼” x 5½”
- Designer Series Paper – 5¼” x 12″, scored at 2″ 4″ 8″ 10″
- fold mountain – valley – valley – mountain
- On the 2″ panels on the far left and right, on the outside make a pencil mark at 2¾” down from top
- Cut from the pencil mark to the top of the score mark those panels, adhere the cut apart piece to the bottom, this way when you fold and close the card you see both patterns
- Use Belly band to hold the card closed
