Happy Sunday, hope your weekend is going well. Yesterday I went through all of my handmade cards on hand from January 1 – May 31 and pulled out some for gifts and fifty to use for two gift baskets for my high school reunion picnic in July. Last year my gift baskets were popular raffles and this year I’m even making five birthday card gifts for all attendees, stop back July 21st for pictures of the items.
Has this ever happened to you? The other night, 3 or 4 times I woke up with a vision of a card in my head. This card had a strip of vellum, dots and a piece of paper in a shape behind the vellum, so what do you do – create a card like that for today’s post.
The card is rather simple and easy to make, it features a piece of the Graceful Glass 6”x6” Vellum cardstock, a beautiful stained glass imagery perfect for coloring, which I did with a combination of Stampin’ Blend and Stampin’ Write Markers. There are 24 vellum sheets, 2 each of 12 single-sided designs. The circle (largest Layering Circles Die) is cut from Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper, adhered first with the strip of vellum over it. Greeting is from Itty Bitty Greetings (32 stamps in the set) and finished with black Faceted Gems.
If you are wondering how to adhere the vellum so that no adhesive shows, I recommend a piece of a multipurpose adhesive sheet cut to size for a perfect sticker.
