Turtle-y Cute Suite – part 2

Today is part 2 of the Turtle-y Cute Suite collection of cards.

The Turtle-y Sweet 12″ x 12″ Two-Tone Cardstock is great for handmade cards, scrapbook layouts, and other paper craft projects. It’s high quality, acid free, and lignin free, making it a favorite scrapbook paper, too. This cardstock is two sided with shades of the same color on each side. The ultrasmooth surface makes it an ideal paper for stamping, giving you clean, crisp images.

Turtle-y Sweet 12″ x 12″ Two-Tone CardstockColors:

  • Crushed Curry
  • Garden Green
  • Granny Apple Green
  • Petal Pink
  • Pool Party
  • Poppy Parade
Here’s the first card featuring four 1″ squares embossed with the turtle textures embossing folder. Use a piece of sandpaper or even an emery board to brush off some of the color for additional texture.

Next, 2 pieces of Granny Apple Green cut on the diagonal and added to the front and inside of the card. Thick Basic White used for the card base. Images on the card are stamped in Memento Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers.

Finally, the inside of the card. Remember the sentiment does not always need to be at the top or middle of the page, bottom section works great too!

Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder

Happy Friday!

Today I’m sharing two ideas for the new Online Exclusive Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.

This folder is one of the large ones, 6″ x 8-1/2″ to use with your die cutting/embossing machine.

First, on the “debossed” side, run an ink pad over the embossed paper to highlight the embossing and fill in the blank space.

Next, use Stampin’ Blend Markers to color the image. Two fun easy ways to use this folder.

Turtle-y Cute Suite Collection

Have you seen the Turtle-y Cut Suite Collection? It’s a really cute collection perfect for people of all ages.

Collection includes designer series paper, embossing folder, stamp set and die bundle, two tone satin ribbon and shades of green hexagon embellishments.

TURTLE-Y CUTE SUITE COLLECTION (ENGLISH)

I’m sharing two cards, the first features one of the cut a parts from the designer series paper along with some of the images cut out with paper snips. The images in the designer series paper are fun to put together to create scenes.

Next, here is a look at the inside of the card. Those partial images on the side of the page are great cut out and added inside the card.

Finally, a book binding card featuring the Turtle-y Sweet 12″ x 12″ Two Tone cardstock. All layers of the card are two tone card stock with the exception of the designer series paper.

If you are wondering what a bookbinding card is, well it’s a 4¼” x 11″ piece of card stock or designer series paper scored at 4¼” and 5 ½”. Adhere paper together between the two scores, leaves the front with two sections, one is 1¼” wide and the other 4¼”.

Irresistible Designs SDSP

Have you seen the Irresistible Designs 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper?

IRRESISTIBLE DESIGNS 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

What’s so special about the Irresistible Designs 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper? It has UV-coated patterns that resist ink, making it perfect for emboss-resist techniques. Just apply ink to it and the pattern pops out. It’s the easiest way to get a heat-embossed look—no embossing powder or Heat Tool needed! There are 6 sheets, 2 each of 3 single-sided designs for $10.
To make the three cards I’m sharing I used the Cut & Shuffle Technique.

Technique Steps:

  • One piece of each pattern of the Irresistible Designs SDSP (4″ x 5 ¼”) was colored with different ink colors using a blending brush.
    • Coastal Cabana
    • Daffodil Delight
    • Berry Burst
  • Next, stack the three pieces of paper together on your trimmer
  • Cut into three pieces
  • Separate so that one of each color is used on each card.
  • Basic Black card stock mat on Coastal Cabana card stock base.

Next is the second card.

Finally, the third card. Each card uses the stamp set from the Unbound Love Bundle. Die sets include Nested Essentials and Stylish Shapes.

Once you have this paper what three colors would you use?

Happy 4th of July!

Happy July 4th!

In the United States, today commemorates the passage of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.

The day is celebrated across the United States with parades, firework shows, picnics, concerts, and other festivities. Independence Day is also notable for its displays of patriotism, as many Americans commemorate the day by flying the American flag and dressing in the flag’s colors of red, white, and blue.

How are you celebrating? I’ll be spending time in the pool and have a cookout with hamburgers, potato salad and corn on the cob!
