Today I thought I would share another card made using the same fun fold as the Simply Sparkling Fun Fold posted on December 28th.

This card features the Cheerful Daisies Bundle and coordinating Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper.

Measurements for the card:

• Card base 4¼” x 11″, scored on both ends at 1 3/8″ and 2¾”
• Mats (card stock)
  • Left side – 3¾” x 4¼”
  • Right side – 3″ x 3½”
  • Inside – 2¾” x 4″
• Designer Series Paper or card stock layers
  • Left side – 3½” x 4″
  • Right side – 2¾” x 3¼”
  • Inside – 2½” x 3¾”
• Decorate as desired

Moody Mauve card stock was used for the solid flower images and the detail images are die cut using 2023-2025 In-Color Luster Specialty Paper. Wild Wheat card stock used for the mats and sprigs.

Folds are burnished as a mountain then valley fold on both sides. While I have the left over the right to close the card, you can always do right to left for something different.

Today I thought I’d share a couple more cards made with the Simply Sparkling Bundle, one of the On-Line Exclusive products on the Stampin’ Up! website.

Online Exclusives include bundles, designer series paper, embossing folders and card kits just to name a few items.

First card is a fun fold with images stamped, colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers and die cut. Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper provided the background on Garden Green card stock. Thick Basic White card stock was used for the base.

Here’s a few from above of the what the fun fold looks like.

Finally, a card with a textured front. I’ve added a embossed front covered with the bubble circle die cuts, using adhesive sheets makes it easy.

Merry Christmas!

I’ll be spending time this morning on a zoom call opening presents with my brother and his family in New Jersey (we started this before it was “cool” to do it). Then, off to my cousins for family Christmas time!

Looking for an idea for a last-minute gift or even a gift to have “just in case”, then today’s post is for you.

We all know you have some cards ready to go, well now you have a folder to make perfect to use for four cards.

Measurements for the folder:

• Designer Series Paper – 9″ long x 12″ wide
• Score 12″side at ¾” on both ends and 6″
• Score 9″ side at 6″
• Burnish the ¾” score marks to the inside of the folder
• 3″ down cut away a little triangle of the designer paper on each side (this is actually where the pocket comes up to when folded)
• Burnish the 6″ score to create the pocket
• Cut away the bottom ¾” x 3″ on each side, fold up the pocket and adhere the remaining 6″ to the inside

Here is the inside of the folder with the cards and envelopes added.

Here is the completed folder with cards inside. I’ve tied the folder up with some ribbon, bow and tag.

Next, the first two cards. Notice it’s the same designer paper on both, cut them together and mix together!

Finally, the last two cards. The card on the left is a pocket card. Wanted to Say Dies provides words for both cards.

Today I have a fun fold card for that’s new to me, a Front Panel Stepper Card. Fellow Canadian demonstrator Tina Zinck has a video showing how to make the card and I gave it a try. The card is easy to make.

Card Specifics:

• Card base – 5½” x 8½”
• Along the 8½” side, score both ends at 2 1/8″, burnish with bone folder
• Line the 5½” side at the top of your paper trimmer, at 1 1/8″ cut between the 2 score lines, rotate card stock and repeat
• Line the 8½” side at 4 1/4″ score the 1 1/8″ wide strip only, rotate and repeat.
• Pinch the inside mountain steps to bring the two flaps together in the center and press down the middle front panel.

First is a birthday card I made using the Wanted to Say Dies. I’d recommend keeping the center panel flat for easy folding into the envelope.

Next are the designer paper measurements: 2 @ 1 7/8″ x 5¼” for side panels and 4 @ 1 7/8″ x 1″ for the top and bottom mountains.

Front panel is 3¼” x 4″ (inside layer 3″ x 3¾”).

Add a panel on the back to sign the card.

Holding the card closed, as you can, it fits in your standard Stampin’ Up! medium envelope!

Finally, a Christmas card featuring One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Paper.

Sneak Peek Saturday #2

Today I’m featuring two products from the new January – April 2024 Mini Catalog.

Planted Paradise Photopolymer Reversible Stamp Set – item 162925 – $22

Mini Alphabet Dies – item 162934 – $31

Today’s card features the colors Orchid Oasis, Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party, Basic Gray and highlight of Garden Green. Most of the images were stamped, cut out by hand and adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Plant hanger and a few images were stamped on the background before being run through Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder.

Did you notice the multi-colored letters?  Letters are die cut with watercolor paper and backed with adhesive sheet. Using water painters and color top to bottom (light to dark). Then, once letters are dry, add to the card front.

Next, inside view of the card. Different pot and images used to add interest to the inside of the card. Why not add the same images to a matching envelope?

Sneak Peek Saturday – #1

For the month of December, I’ll be sharing cards or projects made with products debuting in the new January – April 2024 Mini Catalog or January / February Sale-a-Bration brochure.

First up is a card made with the Doggone Friendly Stamp, item 162729, for $20.00.

When I first saw this stamp, I knew I needed to get it. We have two German Shepards, Nitro and Diesel and image I’ve colored reminds me of them. Image is stamped in Memento Black ink, then the image is colored using Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie and Basic Black Stampin’ Blend markers.

I’ve teamed the image with the More Wishes stamp set for a Christmas card. The same layout with the Biggest Wish stamp set would make a great birthday card.

Finally, don’t forget the four-legged friends! Below is a package of biscuits ready for our neighbors who have German Shepards just like us!
