Thinking of You

Happy Thursday, hard to believe 2022 is almost over, where did the time go?

Today I’m featuring a card made with the Ringed with Nature Bundle.

The bundle includes the Ringed with Nature Stamp Set and the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder (embossing folder and 16 dies)

These perfectly coordinated stamp set, embossing folder, and dies have everything you need to layer and embellish to your heart’s content. Keep it simple or step it up by adding depth, dimension, and precision-cut pieces to your cards, tags, gift bags, home décor, and so much more!

Card specifics:

House is stamped on Basic White card stock and hand cut out with paper snips
Branches and sprigs die cut using Basic White card stock and colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers

Challenge Card #1

Hope you are having a wonderful holiday season. I asked Santa for a telescope, and he delivered, can’t wait to start using it.

Today I thought I would share with you a card made for the first challenge of an Online Winter Retreat I’m participating in.

Any supplies on hand can be used for the card.

The Designer Series Paper featured on my card is the new By the Bay 6″ x 6″ Specialty Paper, item 160434, available January 5, 2023.

Measurements:

Thick Basic White card base – 5½” x 8½”, scored at 4¼”
Coordinating card stock layer – 2½” x 5½”
Basic White card stock layer – 2¼” x 5½”
Basic White card stock Embossed strip layer – 2″ x 5½”
Strips of designer series paper & card stock (any width)

I’ve used a sentiment from the Sweet Songbirds Bundle and new Night of Navy 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon, item 160581.

Friendly Gnomes

Happy Friday, only two sleeps until Christmas!

Knowing that freezing cold weather was coming, I’ve created a fun and cheerful card for today. When I wake up the outside temperature could be in the single digits, with below zero wind chills!

Today’s fun fold card includes a sneak peek of the Friendly Gnome Photopolymer Stamp Set (#166714) from the upcoming January – April 2023 Mini Catalog. This stamp set coordinates with the Gnomes Dies from the July – December 2022 Mini Catalog.

Measurements for the card:

Card base – 4¼” x 5½”
Smaller card (I’ve used same color card stock) – 4¼” x 5½”, scored on the 5½” at 2¾”
Designer Series Paper 5½” x 5½”, scored on one side at 1½”
Basic White card stock (2 pieces) – 2½” x 4″
Pastel Pearls and strip of designer paper & ribbon as accents

Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes

Today I’m sharing a set of five cards made using the Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes along with the Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

While there is a bundle that teams with the cards and paper, pull out one of each card design, look through your stamps and it’s easy to create a great set of cards for gifts.

Below are the 5 cards made:

First up is Parakeet Party teamed with Petal Pink and the Painted Poppies & Peaceful Moments stamp sets.

Second is the color Sweet Sorbet. It’s been teamed with Celebrate with Tags stamp set and Split Card Textures Dies.

Third, how about the color Starry Sky. I’ve teamed the color with a sneak peek Sale-a-Bration stamp set.

Rectangle Stitched Dies used to create a slimmer Basic White piece for the stamped image.
Run Basic White card stock through the Cut & Emboss machine
Reposition with die
Run through Cut & Emboss machine again and end with a slimmer version.

Fourth, is the color Orchid Oasis along with the Forever Fern stamp set. You don’t need fancy dies, create mats using your paper trimmer.

Finally, the last card features the color Tahitian Tide. I’ve teamed up Friends are like Seashells stamp set and Layering Diorama Dies for a fun look.

Sweet Songbird Bundle

Today’s card was made for a special friend of mine for a reason. Last week a bird flew into their house and I just had to make him a Christmas card with a bird. Moral of the story, keep an eye on the garland hanging outside your front door!

The Sweet Songbirds Bundle includes the Sweet Songbirds Stamp Set and the Songbird Builder Punch. With this bundle create dimensional songbirds quickly. Stamp the images in different colors for a custom look—a light pink body, a darker pink wing, and yellow feet. With the punch assemble multicolored birds in seconds! Create flocks of birds with solid colored paper for a standard look or introduce patterned wings for more flair! Four shapes: body, breast, wing, beak.

Finally, change up the colors and sentiment for a card for any occasion.

Splendid Day Specialty Designer Paper

Happy Sunday! Hard to believe Christmas is in 2 weeks!

Today I’m featuring the Splendid Day 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty Designer Series Paper. This is a beautiful way to add a touch of elegant imagery to your paper crafting. You can use it as a background on scrapbook pages or card fronts or cut smaller accent pieces to add interest to your projects. The paper is retiring and only $6, a savings of 60% from the $15 price.

In reviewing my retiring products, I noticed a had quite a few 1″ strips of Splendid Day designer paper,what to do with them?

Add a piece of adhesive sheet to Coastal Cabana card stock 4″ x 5¼”
Adhere the strips at different angles, then cut down to 3¾” x 5″
Mat on Basic Gray card stock 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Run through Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder

Finally, the sentiment is heat embossed with White Embossing Powder on Basic Gray card stock and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

One layout = 3 cards

How’s your week going? Getting ready for the holidays? Hard to believe Christmas is just a few weeks away!

Today I thought I would share three cards made from three pieces of designer series paper

Measurements/Supplies:

3 pieces of coordinating designer series paper – 3¾” x 5″
stack the papers together
left side, measure 1¼” down from the top and up from the bottom and make a tick mark
right side, measure 2″ down from the top and up from the bottom and make a tick mark
using your paper trimmer, line the tick marks (left to right) and cut – twice
mix the papers to get 3 cards
I’ve matted the designer paper of 5″ x 4 1/8″ card stock
use the stamp sets of your choice for greetings
embellishments of your choice

For my first card, I’ve used the Artistically Inked Cling Mount Stamp Set and used Paper Snips to hand cut out the images. For the flower, I stamped a couple times, turning the stamp before stamping.

Next, I turned the card horizontal and used a greeting from Biggest Wish Photopolymer Stamp Set.

Finally, my last card features the Party Puffins Cling Mount Stamp Set along with the Deckled Rectangle Dies. To stamp Happy Birthday as I did, I taped off the word I did not want inked, inked the stamp, removed the tape and stamped the greeting. When you do this, remember to remove the tape before stamping (ask me how I know!).

Who likes leftovers?

Today I’m sharing a card made with some “leftovers”, you know – those pieces just sitting on your desk.

This past weekend I was doing a little “cleaning” in my craft room in preparation for the new January-April 2023 Mini Catalog and decided to make a card with a few of the pieces I had.

Card basics:

- Embossed tree cut stamped with Merry Christmas
- Poinsettia stamped in Real Red and hand cut out
Bough Punch with Garden Green

Finally, add some Adhesive Backed Holiday Sequins for sparkle.

Trees for Sale, retiring soon!

Today I had fun looking at the retiring products and made a whimsical Christmas card featuring the Trees for Sale Photopolymer Stamp Set.

The set offers amazing versatility with just a simple switch of colors—make your lot more traditional with a nature-inspired color combination, such as greens and browns, or mix it up with playful colors for a fun, contemporary look.

Card Measurements:

Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper – 3¾” x 5″
- Trees colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers in Shaded Spruce & Flirty Flamingo
Flirty Flamingo card stock mat – 4″ x 5¼”
Shaded Spruce card stock card base 4¼” x 11″, scored at 5½” or 5½” x 8½”, scored at 4¼”
Die cut greeting using the Seasonal Label Dies (annual catalog)

This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set; it allows you to layer two or more images to create one final image with extra texture and dimension in the colors you want.

Finally, how about a peek at the inside of the card. I’ve added three trees. One using Shaded Spruce and two with Flirty Flamingo, who says tree’s need to be green!

Penguin Place Fun Fold Card

Today I thought I would share a fun fold card using the Penguin Place Photopolymer Stamp Set and Penguin Builder Punch – two of the items on the Last Chance List.

Card basics:

Card stock base – 4¼” x 8½”, scored at 4¼” with a diagonal cut on the front of the card
Inside card is 3″ x 7″, scored at 3½”
Piece of designer series paper 4″ x 4″, cut at the diagonal, I used mine on both the outside and inside (need to watch pattern direction)
Vellum for inside 4″ x 4″
Adhere “inside” card to the vellum, then the vellum to the card base. Hide the adhesive behind the card
Inside card front and inside paper is 2¾” x 3¼”
Polished Pink Oval from Framed Florets Dies
Basic White Snow from Basic Border Dies, adhere then cut off excess
Packages and trees are stamped and cut out using Stampin’ Up! Paper Snips

Here is a side view of the card so you can see where the “Mini” card is placed and how I stamped the inside.
