Today is one of my favorite days of the year, I get to wish my brother Michael a Happy Birthday and even though he’s in his late fifties, I enjoy calling him my “Baby Brother”.

My card for today features, card on card with a ribbon tie. The designer series paper is In Good Taste and the bundle is called Friends are like Seashells.  The bundle even has a 3D Embossing Folder that coordinates with the Seaside Shells Die.

The small card on the front, which is 2.75″ x 2.75″, opens left to right vs. the main card base that has two flaps that overlap.  Don’t forget you add the ribbon, before putting the front mat on this smaller card, that’s what holds ribbon down, along with the Tear & Tape you’ve applied.

The inside of the card has a piece of Basic White card stock matted on Seaside Spray.  I’ve stamped some the images on the Basic White before adding to the card, including the inside sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set.

Happy Mid-Week! Today we have day two of my projects from this past weekend.

Add Adhesive sheet on the card stock before die cutting makes putting this card together easy. Cut off the excess card stock hanging over the edge and you might even be able to add it someone else on the card.  The ‘happy’ was fussy cut and I just went for it without over thinking my cutting and it came out wonderful.

Who wouldn’t want to receive a card like this?

All cards don’t need a sentiment on the outside, for this card based on the occasion I can stamp what is needed on the inside or even just use to write and send a note to someone.

When you make a boo boo in your cutting when putting a box together, just use some linen thread and tie up the box to keep it closed, no know will even know!

This past weekend I participated in an on-line convention for demonstrators and thought I would share the cards and projects we made.

For the card below I’ve used Flirty Flamingo Dark Stampin’ Blend Marker to color the Resin Hearts to match the twine. I’ve stamped on Very Vanilla as the Pearlescent Specialty Paper if not careful when you stamp on it needs time to dry and can even smudge.

Cute isn’t it, who would not want to receive the card below for their birthday.

Card is fun fold, score on the 11″ side at 2.75″ and 5.5″ and add the matted designer paper on the bottom inside of the front for this fun fold.

Bermuda Bay card base along with designer series paper and another sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set. The Small Bloom Punch and a little bow are the perfect embellishment.

Who loves a fun fold?  The first card starts with a  4″ x 11″ card stock base scored at 4½ and 5½” on the 11′ side, then the 1″ section between the score lines are adhered together and designer paper added.  The strawberry is stamped with Poppy Parade ink with a Garden Green stem, same color as the card base.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card which features Pacific Point Blueberries!

Not all cards with this bundle need to have berries, this card features the flowers from bundle along with the Small Bloom Punch from the Annual Catalog. Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray ink was used for the flowers, don’t you just love flowers you can punch out!

For the final card I’ve used the Playful Alphabet Dies and Adhesive Sheets to create the Hello. These dies can be used with either the Mini Cut & Emboss Machine or the Full Size version – the Mini is awesome for on the go, you can take it anywhere it’s so small and light weight!

My favorite flowers are Hydrangea’s and today’s card features them!

When I first looked through the new 2021 January – June Mini Catalog and saw the Hydrangea Hill Suite I knew I just had to add the suite to my collection. I’ve managed to use most of the products in the suite, I added the rhinestones, then remembered about the Pastel Pearls or I would have used them – guess that’s what happens when you make the card late at night.

Here are the basics for the card:

• Fun fold with a designer series paper card base, that is 4″ x 12″, scored at 5½” and 11″
• Die cut piece of the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate
• Three flowers in Misty Moonlight, Highland Heather and Seaside Spray ink
• Basic White flowers and little tag are from the Hydrangea Dies.

Here is the inside of the card, this flower uses Gorgeous Grape ink for the flower and Old Olive for the leaves. The sentiment is stamped on a die cut from the Hippo Dies, which I also used for the mercury glass acetate.  For stability there is a mat of Gorgeous Grape card stock with the new Basic White card stock for stamping and writing my message to the recipient.

Happy Saturday, today I am featuring the Corner Bouquet stamp set, one of the $50 free items from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure – where you can pick free product for every $50 spent from the Annual or Mini Catalog combine, before shipping/tax. Corner Bouquet stamp set is just images so I’ve teamed the stamp set up with one of my new favorite sets Happy Thoughts, a cling mount stamp set.

All the cards have the following:

• All colors in the same color family
• Dark card stock base and same color for stamping
• Lighter card stock for backgrounds and stamping
• Any color combo works!  I used blues – my favorite color!!!

First lets start with two piece of card stock the image is stamped on using the Stamparatus for perfect placement, then cut them into two pieces, putting them together for two different cards.

Top is the darker piece with lighter card stock on the bottom.

Why not use two different shades of the same color, use sponge daubers to add ink to the stamp.

Stamp the image in the darkest color, then add a lighter shade with a Blending Brush. Blending Brushes are new in the January-June Mini Catalog. My recommendation is to have a brush for each color (blues, purples, yellows, oranges, etc.), to clean off the color, just rub on scrap paper until no color shows, then move on to the next shade.

Today I thought I would bring you some additional samples using the Fine Art Floral Suite that was featured this past weekend with my Sunday Stampers.

The first sample has the Gilded Leafing added directly to the designer series paper, stamp with Versamark ink, add Heat & Stick Powder, melt then add the Gilded Leafing. Hello was created using Rainbow Glimmer Paper on Foam Adhesive Sheets die cut using the Playful Alphabet Dies.

For this sample the Gilded Leafing again was added directly to the designer series paper. Sentiment from Happy Thoughts stamp set.

For this card, the flowers are stamped in Pretty Peacock for the first stamp, then Versa Mark with Heat & Stick Powder to add the Gilded Leafing. Mat is Pretty Peacock and sentiment  is from the Happy Thoughts stamp set.

Have some fun and create a background using strips of Tear & Tape to create the pattern then used the Gilded Leafing directly on the Tear & Tape for a cool design. Think of the possibilities you can do with this. Gilded Leafing can be added to any sticky substance, even dried liquid glue.

Last week I shared two cards using the stamp set Beautiful Friendship to create the background, today I have four cards using the Tasteful Textures Bundle – the Tasteful Touches stamp set and Tasteful Labels dies.

Here is the first of the four cards using the 8″ x 10½” Whisper White card stock used to stamp on to create my own designer paper to use as the background. Three of the ink colors used are 2019-2021 In-Colors – Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray and Rococo Rose, along with Granny Apple Green and Petal Pink.

Wrap around of Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy ribbon adds interest to this card combine with die cuts from the Tasteful Textures Bundle.

For this card, the Tailored Tag Punch worked great for both the greeting and to mat the greeting with, just punch out one, cut in half horizontal and glue to the back of the greeting before adhering.

For this card I added a large knotted ribbon on the left hand side, use glue dots to keep the bow in place.

Greetings from the new Happy Thoughts stamp set, #154507 – $21.00, available January 5th when the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog goes live.  The stamp set has both outside and inside greetings for your cards and was created by Jackie Bolhuis, a million dollar seller for Stampin’ Up!

While we wait for the new 2021 January – June Mini Catalog & Sale-a-Bration (January/February 2021) to start January 5th, I thought I would share a card with you featuring three square layers, which you can stack anyway you like.

The card basics are the same for any card you design, layer the squares like I did, all as a diamond, square on top of square or anyway to decide.

Here are the basics for my card:

• Card base 4¼” x 11″, scored at 5½” for top folding card or you can use a 5½” x 8½” based, scored at 4¼” for side folding card
• White card stock 4″ x 5¼” , matted on designer series paper
• White card stock squares, matted on designer series paper

  • 2″ x 2″
• Die cuts, embellishment & greeting!
