Today’s card is perfect for kicking 2020 to the curb and looking forward to a better 2021.

Starting January 5th is the new 2021 January – June Mini Catalog along with the first of two Sale-a-Bration periods.  While Sale-a-Bration normally is three months (January – March), in 2021 there will be two Sale-a-Bration events, one during January-February and another July-August.

My card today features the Sale-a-Bration stamp set “Darling Donkeys” – #155264, which is one of the free choices with a $50 purchase.  I’ve seen other demonstrators make this card and thought I would give it a try and it’s really cute! I’ve used the Metallic Cardstock to die cut the numbers and mat the White card stock, Soft Suede card stock was used for the card base and Soft Suede & Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend markers to color the donkey – it’s he/she cute!

Here is another card made with the Darling Donkey stamp set using all the images and most of the greetings.  This donkey was colored with Smokey Slate Stampin’ Blend Markers and the mats are Magenta Madness or Rainbow Glimmer Paper.

Today I have a sneak peek for you using the new Art Gallery Bundle from the new 2021 January – June Mini Catalog which goes live January 5th.

The Art Gallery Bundle, #156227 is $50.25 and includes the Art Gallery 15 piece photopolymer stamp set and the 7 piece Floral Gallery Dies.

Colors for the card include Purple Posy card stock used for the card based along with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape ink stamped on Purple Posy and die cut with the matching die.  Happy Birthday is from the new Happy Thoughts Stamp Set, #154507 – $21, also available January 5th.

For the background I used the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder and Basic Gray card stock, then once embossed I used my White Craft stamp pad and lightly drug it across the embossed image to highlight the words.

Finishing touches are Purple Tri-Color Ribbon and Playing with Patterns Resin Dots in Purple Posy.

Today I’m sharing with you two cards I’ve made with a background stamped on a 5½” x 8½” piece of white card stock.

To get started:

1. Cut a piece of 8½” x 11″ in half,  and made a tiny pencil mark in the middle of an 8½” side
2. Stamped the multi-flower image in Seaside Spray ink from the tick mark side to side and up the middle
3. Stamp the other images kind of mirroring the images
4. Cut the paper in half, then into 4″ x 5¼” – so one piece of stamped paper = 2 cards
5. Use a 8″ x 10½” piece of White or Very Vanilla card stock for stamping, then cut into 4 – 4″ x 5¼”
6. Mat the stamped images
7. Add to card base for either 2 or 4 cards

Here is close up of the left side of the white stamped card stock, matted on Basic Black card stock and Playing with Patterns Resin Dots in Crushed Curry.

Here is the right side of the stamped White card stock.

Think of all the possibilities!

Hard to believe in less than a week it will be Christmas, are you ready?  With luck I am!

If you are looking for a few card idea’s I thought I would share with you cards made with one of my favorite’s – Don’t Stop Believin’, teamed up with the Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

The first card features the elf, colored with Just Jade Stampin’ Blend Markers.  The card base and mats are both from Shaded Spruce – when making cards like this – use the same color for the card base and mat to tie everything together. Holiday Rhinestones add the right amount of sparkle to this card.

Here are the Frosty stamps teamed with Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper which unfortunately is no longer available.  This image was the main reason I purchased the stamp set – anything Frosty is for me!

And finally we have Santa with a sparkly Cherry Cobbler colored hat and Clear Wink of Stella.  For this card the focal image and greeting are what is matted on Stitched Rectangle Dies.  On the Designer Paper mat I’ve added two strips of designer paper that have the same colors in them for added interest and layers on the card, rhinestones finish off the card.

Today I thought I would share some quick and easy cards made with Flowers for Every Season 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper and Flowers for Every Season Memory and More products.  The greetings are a sneak peek of a new bundle from the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog – Many Messages.

Many Messages Bundle (#156272 – $50.25):

Bundle includes the Many Messages stamp with 23 messages and the Messages Die – the die is one large die and actually cuts all the sentiments out at the same time, this was one of my first pre-order products as I see many uses for it and a great way to have a nice variety of sentiments ready to go!

For my cards, I’ve used one each of each color of the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More cards and matching envelopes along with a piece of designer series paper 3″ x 4″ which fits in the dotted border on each card. If you don’t have the designer paper the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More Card Pack includes cards sized at 3″ x 4″ you can use.  I’ve added a sentiment, stamped in Memento Black ink and piece of matching 2020-2022 In-Color Ribbon to each card.

Unbelievable as it sounds Whisper White is retiring effective immediately from the Stampin’ Up! product line. Not to worry, there’s something else right around the corner for us to enjoy. Today I’m sharing information about the sudden retirement of Whisper White and what that means for us crafters.

Whisper White has been a Stampin’ Up! staple for as long as I can remember, I always have a few packs of card stock, envelopes and note cards in my stash. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the supplier mill that produced Whisper White cardstock products has permanently closed. Stampin’ Up! wasn’t given much notice about this closure. Because of the closure, the technology unique to this particular supplier is now unavailable to Stampin’ Up!, and the company can no longer offer our Whisper White cardstock and related products. This will not affect other cardstocks – only Whisper White.

With Whisper White going out of production, a number of Whisper White products will soon be going away. The following items are now available while supplies last (with an order limit of 2 per item per order):

Let me introduce you to Basic White!

After many hours to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit, Stampin’ Up! has found a new replacement – Basic White! The quality of the new Basic White was thoroughly tested by Stampin’ Up!’s quality assurance and product teams. We are told it also tested very well with demonstrators and concept artists who played with the new paper and gave it a huge thumbs up. The company believes in the quality of the new Basic White cardstock, and I’m certain it will soon become our new crafting staple!

The new Basic White products will become available to purchase as soon as Stampin’ Up! can have them in stock. This means that some Whisper White and Basic White products may be available at the same time. Additionally, due to the nature of sourcing, some Basic White products may not be available before the Whisper White products sell out. Please know that the company is working on getting these products available to you as fast as possible.

This change is outside of the company’s control, Stampin’ Up! hasn’t been able to tackle all necessary alterations at once. You may still see the name Whisper White on some of the non-cardstock product labels, catalog, and marketing material for a while. They will be working on a change to address this.

Today I have a Fun Fold card for you featuring the Gift Wrapped Bundle, which also just happens to be an “Interlocking” card.  The front of the card interlocks to close and open.

Basics on putting the card together:

• Card base 5½” x 12″, scored at 2″ – 4″ – 8″ – 10″
  • I’ve used Designer Series Paper, but card stock works just as good
• Card stock for the front – 4 ¼” x 5½”, cut into three sections
  • On the 5½” side cut two at 1 7/8″ (top & bottom sections)
  • Third piece is the remaining piece
  • Try to get the pieces as close as possible to the same width
• Mat the three pieces with designer series paper, size depends on card stock size
• Middle section, where stamping goes
  • mat 3¾” x 5¼”
  • card stock for stamping 3 5/8″ x 5 1/8″

How I put the card together:

• Card base – Fold 4″ and 8″ scores to the center and 2″ and 10″ score to the outside, like a gate fold card
• Adhere the top and bottom card stock sections (piece you cut into thirds) to the left front of card base, remembering to only put adhesive on the portion on part of the card stock
• Fold card closed, then add the middle card stock piece.  You may want to dry fit this piece before adding both designer paper or to the card in case to need to cut off a sliver to make card close easily

Now I slowly open the card to show you just how it it looks!

This is a wider look featuring more of the inside of the card.  The inside features a piece of Very Vanilla card stock stamped with a greeting from the Christmas Means More stamp set and some bows, matted on Real Red Card stock. I’ve also added stamped & matted card stock to the two inside “side” sections.

Here is another version of the card made with the products from the Dandy Garden Suite including the Dragonfly Garden Bundle (Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set & Dragonflies Punch) and Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

Hard to believe Christmas is just a few short weeks away.

Do you have all your cards made and mailed? Present purchased and wrapped?  I have a few more cards to work on for some special people and get presents in the mail to family I will not be seeing this year.

Today I thought I would share two cards with you I’ve made with the Gift Wrapped Bundle from the 2020 August – December Mini Catalog to show you that the bundle is not just for the holidays, but any occasion!

The bundle features the Gift Wrapped Photopolymer Stamp set and Gift Bow Builder Punch.

Both cards feature:

• Patterned paper from the Plaid Tidings 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper
• Stamped Whisper White piece of card stock matted on coordinating card stock
  • stamp a variety of images from the stamp set
• Bow stamped & punched out, then layered with Stampin’ Dimensionals over one of the stamped large bows

Here is a version of the same card using another piece of the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper along with the Happy Birthday stamp from Zany Zebras Stamp Set. Since the plaid paper features the color black and I’m a Pittsburgh Steeler fan, thought using Daffodil Delight was the perfect color combination. The bow is adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and I’ve added a few Champagne Rhinestones for extra bling!
