Quick & Easy Birthday cards

Yesterday I posted the birthday card I made for my brother featuring some of the paper from the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper. Today I thought I would share a few other quick and easy birthday cards using that same paper and the matching Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.

Card 1: Can’t you almost taste the cookies on the plate? Stamp a greeting on a banner add a few sequins and your done!

Card 2: Layering Oval Framelits provide the backdrop for the greeting and a Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon bow and sequins finish the card. Greeting is stamped in Versamark Ink, sprinkled with Silver Embossing powder and heat set to match the shiny bows on the paper.

Card 3: For this card I used scraps to complete the focal image which is matted on Basic Black & Berry Burst and a Whisper White card base. Bow was stamped in Peekaboo Peach and Bermuda Bay and hand cut out with Paper Snips.

Happy Birthday Baby Brother!

Happy Birthday to my baby brother Michael! I sure do love calling him that, even though we are both in our 50’s.

Today I thought I would share his card with you, hopefully it’s arrived in New Jersey and this is not the first time he is seeing it! His card is a Z fold card – 4.25″ x 11″, scored at 2.75″ and 5.5″ and another piece 1″ x 11″, scored at 2.75″ and 5.5″ (attached opposite the folds on the card base.

The card features the beautiful paper from the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper. This paper has photographic imagery of everything that a good party needs: balloons, hats, donuts – you name it! The designed imagery on the makes you party even more! I combine the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set with Party Pandas for a festive look and finished off the card with some Tutti Fruitti Adhesive Backed Sequins.

Sunday Stampers Redo

How was your weekend? Saturday was a rainy day but a manicure and pedicure made for a fun afternoon, always nice to have some “me” time. Today was spent enjoying the sunny day, relaxing on the sun porch, reading and watching the planes in the sky go by, wondering just were the people are going – Vegas, Chicago, New York maybe even abroad.

Last Sunday I shared the projects my Sunday Stampers made, checking them out here. Today I’m using the left over kits (I usually make an extra one or two) and making the cards a little different.

First is the Petal Palette Card – made into a Z Fold card, Congratulations from the Petal Palette stamp set/bundle and ‘Sending Love and Hugs to You’ & Heart are from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set/bundle. The largest Stitched Shapes Circle Framelit create the backdrop for the flower and birds on the left and greeting on the left. On the back I added a piece of Whisper White for hand writing a note to the recipient.

Next is the Heartfelt Blooms card – using a Crumb Cake card base, square layers and birthday greeting (Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set). Image is stamped on Glossy cardstock using Basic Black Archival Ink.

Party Pandas for PCC277

Happy Friday! Don’t know about you but I am looking forward to the weekend. Unfortunately the sun we have today will not last the weekend so they say.

Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch PCC277, thought I would use a Valentine theme since the banner below used hearts for the die cut/punched out images.

Steps on how I made my card:

Stamped the ‘dot’ stamp from Petal Palette Stamp Set (part of the Petal Palette Bundle) in Powder Pink on Whisper White card on the top left & bottom right
Cut down 2 cards from the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack to 2.5″ x 3.5″, used the Envelope Punch Board to round the corners on the bottom layer card (which is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals)
Once the cards were adhered to the stamped Whisper White, I mounted the paper on Basic Black Card stock and tied around Red Twine from the Retired Candy Cane Lane Bakers Twine Duo to create the bow. This panel was then added to a Real Red Card base, 4.25″ x 11″, scored at 5.5″ for top folding card.
Two Panda’s from the Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set “Party Pandas” were stamped and hand cut out.
Banner was stamped in Real Red from the Sure Do Love You Bundle and die cut with the matching die
Adhered banner to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals then added the Panda’s (bottom one has Stampin’ Dimensionals)
For a finishing touch, punched out 4 leaf’s, using a sponge dauber and Pear Pizzazz added a little color to the edges before adhering to the card.

For the inside of the card, I added one of the cards from the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack, cut down to 4.25″ x 5″, stamped a Panda on scrap paper, hand cut out and glued down. Heart colored with the light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend Marker.

Sure Do Love You Bundle Projects

Today I thought I would share with you some additional items made with the Sure Do Love You Bundle.

Sure Do Love You Stamp Set (wood or clear mount) – you can never have enough hearts!
Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies – use this to create small boxes, perfect for treats, gift cards or the new Narrow Whisper White Note Cards with matching envelopes

Top row left – I die cut two pieces of Powder Pink card stock to create the box and used the heart framelit on the front piece to die cut the heart. Before putting together, added a piece of window sheet to the back and stamped the heart on the front. Once the box was together, added candy treats from my local box store and stamped/die cut the banner on the front, which I adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the box on the lower left, check out this blog for the details as it was part of this months Sunday Stampers projects.

The card on the top right uses a piece of the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper and heart from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits dies. Card on the bottom right has no stamping, the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies (Sale-a-Bration item free with $100 product purchase), create the greeting on the outside and the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die was used on the inside. For both ‘amazing’ and ‘happy birthday’ I used Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper for added sparkle.

January 2018 Sunday Stampers Projects

Hope you are all having a great weekend. Today my Sunday Stampers group will be getting together to make these 3 projects to kick off the 2018 Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration brochure. Thought I would share them with you.

The first card features the Petal Palette Bundle – Petal Palette Stamp set & Petals and More Thinlits, Petal Passion Designer Series Paper, Whisper White Organza Ribbon and Petal Passion Embellishments. Flowers and bird colored with Stampin’ Blends markers.

The box and card below feature the Sure Do Love You Bundle – Sure Do Love You stamp set and Lots of Love Box Framelits along with Fithe Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, Love Mini Tinsel Trim and Whisper White Narrow Note Cards with matching envelopes. Finally Heartfelt Blooms the new “Distinktive” stamp lays down the ink at different opacities, giving the finished image more depth. The photo just does not show how beautiful this looks, it’s like a photograph!

PCC276 Color Challenge

Happy Saturday to you! Any special plans? I will be preparing for my Sunday Stampers gathering tomorrow and enjoying dinner out with my husband this evening.

Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge, the banner is below.

For my card I decided on this colors:

Cherry Cobbler
Powder Pink
Silver Foil

My card starts with a Cherry Cobbler that I stamped around the edges with the solid dots from the Playful Background stamp set. Next are layers of Powder Pink and Whisper White, which was run through the Big Shot using the new Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, both adhered with liquid glue.

The focal image is the heart from the Bloomin’ Hearts Thinlits, die cut in Cherry Cobbler and using the Precision Base Plate, which helps get a good cut with detailed dies. Before I adhered the Powder Pink mat, I die cut a few flowers to accent the heart with. Also die cut a few Silver Foil flowers, all flowers are adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and a Pearl Jewel in the center. I also adhered the heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals put behind the flowers to hide them. Greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punch out with the Classic Label Punch and glued on. For the inside I stamped a few images from the Lovely Wishes stamp set in Powder Pink and layered over a greeting stamped in Cherry Cobbler.

New “Distinktive” design stamp set

Happy Wednesday, half way through the week. I’ve been rather busy since my last post, but now I’m back on track. This past weekend by brother and his family were in town and staying with me. We had a ice/snow storm (luckily they arrive just before the ice started), shopped and eat a lot of good food – both out and made a home. One of the things we always do when they are home is go shopping at Kohl’s, here is a picture of Maya & Jake while we were shopping.

Today I thought I would share a card with you made with the first stamp set you see in the Stampin’ Up! 2018 Sale-a-bration bochure – Heartfelt Blooms (free with a $50 before tax/shipping purchase).

Heartfelt Blooms is designed with a new, patent-pending technique to create amazing depth on stamped images. This Distinktive* design lays ink at different opacities to create a photographic finish. It’s absolutely amazing. I’ve used glossy paper and the image is crystal clear – this is a must have stamp set!

I’ve added a Berry Burst mat and the new Berry Burst Metallic-Edge Ribbon for color.

PCC275 Big Sentiment Challenge

Happy Thursday, hope you are having a good week so far. I’m rather excited, tomorrow my brother and his family are coming to visit for the weekend from New Jersey. The last time they saw our dog Nitro he was 10 weeks old, now he is 2, as for Diesel – my nephew Jake saw him at 8 weeks and now he will see him at a year old, they will not believe just how big these guys are.

Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge – Big Sentiment, banner is below. Since this is Sale-a-Bration time the Happy Wishes stamp set seemed perfect to use as there are so many sentiment possibilities with this sit. It’s one of the new $100 Reward products. The set has 2 large words (Happy & Best) and 14 words to go with them.

New products used in making my card include:

Card base has a Daffodil Delight print on it and the Whisper White has a Basic Black mat and designer series paper used for little banners and a focal image. The flowers that are part of the sentiment can be colored with a variety of products including Stampin’ Write Markers, Stampin’ Blends or Watercolor Pencils. Large flowers where stamped in Basic Black and die cut with their matching die from the bundle. Finishing touches include a bow of linen thread and Clear Wink of Stella over the colored flowers. I used a piece of the same designer paper to over the outside of the envelope and stamped a flower on the front.

Petal Passion Suite featuring Memories & More

Happy Monday, hope you had a good weekend, other than the extreme cold mine was enjoyable. While I did a little work for my daytime job (accounting manager and it’s year end) I was able to get a little crafting time in and prepare for a visit from my brother and his family next weekend!

Today I’m sharing something a little different, cards made from a Memories & More package. Memories & More is coordinating packs of cards that make it easy to put projects together quickly. Card packs are perfect for cardmaking, memory keeping, or any other project you can dream up. During OnStage 2017 I preordered the entire Petal Passion Suite and wanted to make some quick cards and thought why not try the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack.

First here is the front of all cards:

The card on the left uses one of the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing folder, a couple cards, sticker and Whisper White Organza bow. For the card on the right, the birds are a smaller card that I used one of the Lots of Label Framelits to die cut them out.

For these cards, I took the ‘Hello’ large word die cut and used Versamark Ink and Gold Embossing powder to come up with a cool embellishment. Flowers on the card where colored with Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blend Markers. On the second card, the oval sentiment is a card that was die cut with a Layering Oval Framelit.

Since these cards were made on Basic Black Card bases, I thought using cards for the inside made it even easier to complete the cards, just add a handwritten note and you are done!

Magical Day !

Welcome to the first day of the new 2018 Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration. There are so many new beautiful products for all your paper crafting needs!

Today’s card features the stamp set I won as part of Prize Patrol at Onstage 2017 in Salt Lake City in November. When I saw the stamp set being demonstrated I commented on how it would make great cards for me to make and give to my cousins with little kids this Christmas, then they announced a Prize Patrol and picked my color as the winning group, I was so excited. The first thing I did, when as a demonstrator I could preorder from the new 2018 Occasions catalog, was to order all the products from the Myths and Magic Suite where you lose yourself in the glittery world of mythical creatures and magical creations!

For my card I started by stamping the mermaids in Basic Black Archival Ink on Whisper White card stock since I wanted to use my Watercolor Pencils to color them. Once colored, using the matching framelit, Magnetic Platform and Big Shot die cut it out. Greeting was stamped in Berry Burst ink and die cut with Stitched Shaped Framelit Oval Die and used the Layering Scallop Oval and the Light Green Glimmer paper to create a mat. The card has a Whisper White base, Berry Burst Mat and piece of the new Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Welcome to 2018 !

Happy New Year, Welcome to 2018 ! ! !

Did you spend the night partying or a nice quiet evening at home? We opted for a quiet night at home after a hosting a Christmas celebration with my husbands family and some friends Saturday night. Looking forward to our New Years day meal of pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and baked beans.

To celebrate the new year I’ve made an eclipse card, using the Large Number Framelits with Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper (while supply lasts), Silver Foil sheet and Dapper Denim card stock and ink. Greetings are from the Thoughtful Banner Stamp set. Foam Adhesive strips are prefect to back the numbers for added height when making eclipse cards.
