Happy Independence Day, also referred to as the Fourth of July, is a holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence 241 years ago on July 4, 1776.
Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States.
This is a big weekend where people like to go to the beach, which provided the theme for today’s card, as I wanted to do a card in the nations colors. To get started, using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies I die cut three chairs in Real Red – Whisper White and Night of Navy. Next the mat of the card was stamped with Crumb Cake and Soft Sky with stamps from the Hide Tide stamp set. The middle chair was adhered with the new Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and my fine-tip glue pen for the others. To top of the card the words ‘just breath.” were stamped in Night of Navy. The mat was adhered to the card base with regular size Stampin’ Dimensionals.
