Grateful for SIP#23

By | November 22, 2015

How’s everything with you? It’s been a while since I last posted. I’ve been busy with work, making holiday cards in the evening and dealing with my car. My goal is to have as many cards as possible done by Thanksgiving so I can enjoy December and not feel rushed to get things done. As for my car, tomorrow I need to take it back to the dealer to have the hood latch sensor replaced, nothing worse than the car alarm going off all time of day or night because it thinks the hood is open. Now on to some card making . . .

Today’s card is for the Stamp Ink Paper weekly challenge which happens to be a sketch this week. Click on the banner below to check out the blog and see all cool designs there.

To make my card I started with a couple pieces of the Into the Woods Designer Series paper and used the Ornate Tag Topper punch to create a tag to set my sentiment on. To make the sentiment “Grateful”, I used four different colors of card stock (Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight and Tangelo Twist), die cut the word from the Seasonal Frame Thinlits and glued them together for depth and a little interest from the side view.  The card base is Mossy Meadow and is a top folding card. The bow and strip around is made from retired Tangelo Twist Stitched Satin ribbon.
