Happy Birthday Baby Brother

Today is my baby brother Michael’s birthday and this is the card I sent him, guess how old he is? Seems like just yesterday  he was a little blonde haired kid complaining about getting his face wet in the swimming and now he’s all grown up. Here is a picture of us from this past summer in Wildwood NJ, the place we vacationed as a family when we were younger. For this… Read More »

Happy Birthday Jason!

Today is my godson’s birthday and I wanted to share his birthday card with you today. Jason lives in Florida so I wanted to do a bright and cheerful card for him.  Does this ever happen to you, you calculate someone’s age on their birthday and say “how could they be that old”, (they seem to stay a certain age in our minds), then think of how old you are… Read More »

CYCI #79 – Convention Edition

I really enjoyed convention last week and now it’s back to the daily grind. It’s amazing how it takes a few days to get back to ‘normal’ after a trip.  The weather here is so hot & humid here in Cranberry that I don’t want to venture outside, good thing I have work and laundry to keep me busy.  Hopefully in a few days the weather will get cooler, I’m looking… Read More »

Bokeh Birthday

For this card, tried a new technique “Bokeh” and used the stamp set, Balloon Bash, that’s been sitting awhile on my desk. “Bokeh” is often most visible around small background highlights, such as specular reflections and light sources, which is why it is often associated with such areas. However, bokeh is not limited to highlights; blur occurs in all out-of-focus regions of the image The card started with a piece of Watercolor… Read More »

Black & Gold Birthday

Living just north of Pittsburgh, I am a born Pirate-Penguin-Steeler fan and all teams have the colors black & gold. For family or friends who are big sports fans I really enjoy making black & gold cards. Today thought I would share a birthday card made with the Striped Scallop Thinlit – one of the new weekly deals from April 14-20th. Here are the current weekly deals, including the Striped… Read More »

Happy Thursday, hope your week is moving along nicely. We just finished a few hours of some nasty storms. The creek behind our house is much higher and moving rather fast, I’m sure in a few hours all will be back to normal. There was a lot of rain in a short time. I even was three deer in the woods, haven’t seen any for quite some time. Today’s card… Read More »

Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch weekly challenge #133.  Stop… Read More »

Saturday night and I’m relaxing watching the Valentine movies on the Hallmark channel. Great way to spend the evening with my husband, he enjoys watching the movies with me, we will most likely put the Penguin hockey game on a little later this evening.  It’s funny as you watch these movies how you see the same group of actors in a variety of movies from holiday to valentine to general subject, I just love them all. … Read More »

So how is your weekend going? It was gloomy here on Saturday with a freezing rain warning until 2pm, good day to stay in and make a few cards for some upcoming blogs.
