SIP#15 Flutters Away

By | September 26, 2015

Welcome to the weekend, any special plans?  I did not get to do any crafting since our plans changed, but I did sneak in some time already today to complete todays card. Hopefully I’ll have additional time later today.

The card for today is for the Stamp Ink Paper Color Challenge #15, you can see the banner below. Last week my card was chosen by Andrea as a design team pick, thanks so much, I enjoy playing along with the challenges!  You can see that original post here.

I knew right away I wanted to make a butterfly but after that I was stuck on the design. While I was in the shower this morning it hit me, the balance of my design. For some reason I can normally have some pretty good idea’s while in the shower, go figure!  So what I came up with was using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig and Work of Art Stamp set to create the strip that goes across the card using the Pool Party & Daffodil Delight ink pads, I used Gorgeous Grunge to add black with Memento Black. The butterfly (made with Watercolor Wings) has a Basic Black butterfly cut in half and added to the back for a shadow effect. Sentiment is from the Tin of Cards stamp set, one of my go to sets.
