SIP # 49 = Flowers

By | May 26, 2016

It’s been awhile since I participated in a blog design challenge, but when I saw the new Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge this week, I knew I need to play along.  I’ve had some flowers from the Botanical Builder Framelits sitting around looking for a home and today’s card is it!

Here is the banner for the challenge, please remember to check out the blog to see all the other designs by clicking here.

To make my card, I’m using a drapery fold with a 5½”x 12″ piece of Designer SP, cut at an angle, scored at 1″ – 3″ – 4″ – 6″ – 7″ – 9″ – 10″ and 11″, folded and secured with fast fuse to start. This piece is adhered to a mat of Cajun Craze with a strip of Basic Black covering the seam, then adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base. Next I adhered the flowers and leaves, added rhinestone and painted some of the flower petals with Clear Wink of Stella. Sentiment from a new stamp set Love & Affection, available June 1st.

Karen this is just beautiful! The flowers are gorgeous of course, but what caught my eye was the unique pleated folds of the paper. Thanks so much for joining us this week at Stamp Ink Paper!
