Simple Saturday Hexagon version

By | May 21, 2016

Welcome to Simple Saturday, where I feature a card made with one stamp set. Today’s card features a sentiment from the stamp set, Six-Sided Sampler along with matching Hexagon Punch, both of which are retiring items. This stamp set comes in wood or clear and is part of a bundle where you get the stamp set and punch at a 15% discount.

To make the card first I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss on Very Vanilla and punched it out. Next, using the Bohemian Designer Series Paper I punched out a bunch of hexagons, I laid down all the parts to create the pattern and using liquid glue, adhered them to a piece of Very Vanilla. I turned the piece over and trimmed off any designer series paper that was over hanging. The Very Vanilla is then adhered to Delightful Dijon which is backed with dimensionals and adhered to a card base of Blackberry Bliss. It’s a fun easy card to make and a great way to use scraps.

Just using the punch alone and scraps of designer series paper you could make a card front, using matching ink stamp a greeting on cardstock banner (use the punch to create the ends) and adhere with dimensionals for a very cute card. To me, the hexagon punch is a must have, order it while you can.
