Hi there, welcome to the weekend! Hope you are all doing well and have some fun things planned. Last night we meet our friends Laurie & Walt and enjoyed the evening out with them, always nice to see friends. Today I will be putting some finishes touches on the living room “Winter Wonderland” and then it will be all ready for Christmas – knowing me between now and then a few new items may appear – I just love Christmas decorations.
Todays card is for the weekly Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #119 challenge. Recently I chose the Dictionary background stamp as a incentive stamp and have been thinking of idea so this sketch could not have come at a better time. The sketch is below. First thing I did when making the card was decide that I wanted to use Red, White and Black, and since there was a piece of Lost Lagoon hanging around my desk, thought that would make a great accent color. The base of the card is Basic Black, on top of that is a piece of Whisper white I stamped using a stamp from Gorgeous Grunge, going from top right to bottom left. Dictionary stamp is stamped with Memento Black on Whisper White and matted on Real Red. Used Stampin Write markers for the sentiment, from Perfect Pennants, to make the work GOOD stand out , matted it on Basic Black and a piece of Real Red that was run through the Big Shot using the Alphabet Press embossing folders (its a little hard to see), each layer has dimensionals between them. Cherry Cobbler bakers twine was looped around the Whisper White before the piece was adhered to the card base with Stampin Dimensionals. The three accent circles in Lost Lagoon have teeny tiny pieces of dimensionals behind them. Very happy with the way the card came out, it can be used for a variety of occasions based on the sentiment inside – birthday – get well – thank you or just because you are you!
