Next time I need to check better for updates :(

When Stampin’ Up has their On Stage events they ask for demonstrators to share samples of cards and projects on display boards, knowing this November, when Stampin’ Up! holds their gathering for demonstrators in Salt Lake City, Utah, which I plan on attending I’ve been waiting for them to ask for demonstrator to submit some of their personal best projects for consideration as a display board presenter. When I noticed the request in our weekly demonstrator updates, I printed out the information, what samples to provide and due date of your entry (July 27th). Since I have a full time job, I decided to request a couple vacation days, design then create my projects and post the entry. Unfortunately for me the due date was changed to July 7th and since I thought it was the 27th missed the deadline, guess there is always next year 🙁

Instead of not creating my projects, I’ve created them and will share with you, as I’m proud of how they turned out.

First is a scrap book page inspired by a trip to Wildwood NJ with brother and his family a couple years ago. The colors used go nicely with the Morey’s Pier and Hot Spot sign, two of our favorite places from when we were kids on vacation with our parents and enjoy now as well.  At the bottom left is a patch of sand with beach chairs. For the sand, I torn a piece of Sahara Sand card stock to the size/shape I wanted, mixed a drop of Sahara Sand re-inker with the new Embossing Paste on the Silicone craft mat, spread over the paper, sprinkled with real sand and pressed in a few seashells from my seashell jar. Once dry, I adhered with foam adhesive strips and tucked the chairs behind. The seashells at the top right are from the So Many Shells Photopolymer Stamp Set, they were stamped and hand cut with paper snips.

Below are three cards, sharing my love of the seashore, crafting and showing someone I love them.  From the left to right I’m featuring products from the Whole Lot of Lovely Product Suite, High Tide stamp set mixed with Seasonal Layers and Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and finally the Crafting Forever stamp set – a must have for all crafters.

The Lovely card features designer series paper, ribbon and stamps all from the same suite. On the beach card the word ‘sunshine’ was die cut first in card stock then in fun foam (from the dollar store), glued together for added dimension, finishing touch Clear Wink of Stella and a little Dazzling Diamond Glitter.  There is even an added layer of sand, backed with Stampin’ Dimensionals, for the beach.  For the crafters, the jar of brushes was colored with watercolor pencils and blender pens.

For one of my 3-D projects I decided to showcase the Wood Crate framelit and show the versatility of the product. The crate makes a great holder for 3″ x 3″ note cards or even bags of candy.  For Christmas, or any holiday, it makes the perfect holder for some treats, add a doily and wreath and your good to go. Any idea what my gift to the family might be this year? Keep in mind I need about 50+.

For my second 3-D item I decided on a handmade box with matching lid and decorated with the Daisy punch and leaves from Eclectic Layers Thinlits on a belly band. The Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper, featuring the 2017-2019 In-Colors: Fresh Fig, Tranquil Tide, Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst, was my paper of choice. I used note cards for quick easy assembly and made the envelopes to match with the envelope punch board. This set is the perfect thank you gift for any occasion!

Here is a picture of the five note cards with matching handmade envelopes.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by, hope you are inspired to try making cards, 3-D paper projects or even some scrapbook pages. In case you would like to purchase any of the products I used the list is below.
