Ever use Embossing Paste? I did with PCC247

By | June 9, 2017

Happy Friday! Today’s card was a fun card to make. I’m using some of the new products from the annual catalog. Now I must admit when I first saw the Embossing Paste in the catalog it did nothing for me, but once I watched the Stampin’ Up! video it jumped into the top 5 must haves for me, it’s smooth, easy to use and dries really fast. The video is below for your viewing pleasure.  I’m also using the Ribbon of Courage bundle, inspired by Million Sales Achiever Patty Bennett, another must have of mine.

Stamp and cut a support ribbon for your favorite cause. Die includes additional pieces to embellish your ribbon.  Bundle and save! Buy these two coordinating products and save 10%.

Ribbon of Courage Clear-Mount Stamp Set – Courage means so much to those who have it, and possibly even more to those who need it. Partner these encouraging phrases with an adaptable awareness ribbon for truly courageous message.
* Quantity: 5 rubber stamps
* Suggested clear blocks (sold separately): d, g

Support Ribbon Framelits Dies – Create die-cut accents in seconds with Framelits dies and the Big Shot. Framelits’ open design allows you to place them where you want for precise cutting.
* 6 dies and the largest image: 3-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ (8.3 x 5.7 cm)

My card was designed for the Paper Craft Crew card sketch challenge #247, see is below. If you click on the image there is a link directly to their blog and you’ll see the design teams cards and you might decide to play along.

To get started I used the new Embossing paste & palette knife with one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks to create a background in the lower right corner, normally I would have used a stamp to create the background. The card stock is Blushing Bride and I used the natural color of the paste, can’t wait to color some and try it again. By the time I stamped and die cut the ribbon the paste was dry. Next using my 2017-2019 In-Color Stampin’ Write Marker I colored in the ribbon. The Blushing Bride is attached to a mat of Berry Burst, backed with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered to a Whisper White card base. The ribbon, after colored was tapped with Versamark Ink, dusted with Clear Embossing powder and heat set before being adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Sentiment was stamped in Berry Burst, die cut using a Layering Square Framelit and adhered with liquid glue.
