Dreamcatcher

By | November 9, 2014

Good morning, hope you are enjoying the weekend. I had a busy Saturday – running errands, made Chili, Stew and Meatloaf for the up coming week and freezer. Also cut paper and packed up all the products needed for the cards I will be making with my Sunday stampers. Thought I would share a picture of the three cards we will be making later today (I’m posting early in the morning). It’s always fun for me to come up with three great cards for my Stampers!

All 3 cards November_edited-1

One of the cards has a dream catcher on it.  I saw this design on Pinterest and thought I would give it a try. The technique I will be sharing with the ladies today is how I made the circle frame. Not only is the frame good for making the dream catcher, but a great form for any type of wreath you want to make. The base of the card is Crumb Cake and there is a mat of Night of Navy that I ran through the Big Shot using the Woodgrain embossing folder.  To make the frame for this card I used the fourth & fifth Circles Collection Framelits nested inside each other and ran them through my Big Shot using the Magnetic Platform to keep the framelits in place, magically you get a thin circle form. For the dream catch I die cut two frames.  On one frame I placed small dots using a marker to form the points of a star and used glue dots to attach Linen thread in the form of a star, I then used some liquid glue and glue dots to place another circle frame on top.  Glue dots hold the sequins on.  The feathers are from the Feather Framelits in the holiday catalog.  There are glue dots holding the thread between the feathers and to the Birthday banner.  The sentiment is from the Remembering your birthday stamp set. Here is a close up of the card.
