CYCI#105 – Heart for Phil

By | February 2, 2016

Happy Ground Hog Day! It’s a big day here is Pennsylvania, hopefully Punxsutawney Phil will not see his shadow and winter will be ending, I’m ready for warmer temperatures, how about you?

Today’s card is for the CanYouCaseIt weekly challenge, this week it’s a color challenge, you can see the banner below. I would like to take the time to thank Elizabeth for picking my card from the week #104 challenge as a “Design Team Member Pick”, you can see that post here.

CYCI105-300x225

To make my card I started with a card base of Crumb Cake cut to 4.25″ x 11″, scored at 5.5″ for a top folding card.  I used a stamp from Gorgeous Grunge and Crumb Cake ink to add a little background before layering the Basic Black and Whisper White across the card. The sentiment is from the January 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit and stamped in Real Red.  Heart is die cut in red glimmer paper, using the Precision Base Plate and Big Shot Die Brush to remove all the small pieces from the die. Heart is adhered with dimensionals. Final touches are rhinestones in the center of the flowers.
