Today while watching a NCIS Los Angeles marathon on television, I worked on the cards for my Sunday Stamping Club – thought I would share a sneak peek of one of the cards we will making. After watching different video’s on You Tube on how to create a lattice effect with the Chevron Border punch, thought I would give this card a try.
The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock and to achieve the the wood grain look I used the Hardwood background stamp, one I used Baked Brown Sugar ink and on the other, Early Espresso ink. One card is top folding and the other side folding. One card has white lattice, the other very vanilla lattice. The lattice is created by using two strips of paper punched using the Chevron Border punch and wove together.
Used the Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly punches layered together and leaves from the Bird punch to accent the lattice. Flowers can also be used to accent the lattice as well. The greetings are from the stamp set Petite Pairs and punched out with the Large Oval and matted with a matching color punched using the Scallop Oval punch.
Hope you enjoyed these cards. Craft on!
