Send a note to let them know you are thinking about them

Happy Thursday, we are one day closer to the weekend. Do you have any special July 4th plans, maybe a cookout or trip? I’m hoping for some pool time and ribs made in the smoker.

Today’s card is simple to make and perfect to send someone to let them know you are thinking about them. The card is made with the stamp set – Just Add Text, you know how to create the card background, and these stamps will make it easy to get the right words in place every time. A mixture of fonts and styles will find you reaching for this set every time you’re in a card-making mood! There are six stamps in the set.

Card size is 4″ x 4″ with a mat of Lemon Lime Twist and piece of Berry Burst from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack. Image was stamped in Berry Burst and colored with the 2017-2019 In-Color Stampin’ Write Markers. The ribbon was adhered with Snail Adhesive before the image was secured with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A perfect gift would be a set of cards made from the stamps in the set, pick yours up today.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

When you spend at least $50 with me and add your order to the current Host Code R4FSMFBJ, making sure to check demonstrator contact, I’ll happily send you a re-useable thank you card and small thank you gift.

Happy Birthday to my sister-in-law Diane!

Yesterday was my sister-in-law Diane’s birthday, today I thought I would share with you the birthday card and box (with gift inside) I made for her.

The card features the Naturally Eclectic Product Suite which includes:

  • Oh So Eclectic Bundle
  • Berry Burst 5/8″ Crinkled Ribbon
  • Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper

For her card I used Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Peekaboo Peach, Island Indigo and Whisper White cardstock. Leaves were stamped in both Lemon Lime Twist and Emerald Envy. The ribbon is easy to use and lays rather flat against your card. The finishing touch is the metal rimmed pearl.

Here is a photo of the box I made using the new Foil Frenzy Specialty Designers Series Paper, tied with retired Island Indigo Chevron Ribbon and her card. I used the Silver foil paper to match the silver rim around the pearl.  Island Indigo card stock was used as a mat on the card as well as for stamping Happy Birthday.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

When you spend at least $50 with me and add your order to the current Host Code R4FSMFBJ, making sure to check demonstrator contact, I’ll happily send you a re-useable thank you card and small thank you gift.

June 2017 Sunday Stamper Cards

Today I am sharing with you the projects that the ladies of my Sunday Stampers group will be making.

The cards below feature the new Stampin’ Up! Embossing Paste (which I colored Tranquil Tide and added Dazzling Diamond Glitter and mixed it up on the Silicone Craft Sheet) and the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Photopolymer Bundle.

Embossing Paste – Texture has been made even easier, mix a few drops of Classic Stampin’ Ink to Embossing Paste,  apply over decorative masks, let dry.  May use without ink for white texture, matte finish. 4 oz. jar size.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set – Balloons and flowers, and messages, oh my! Create the perfect card or gift packaging for any birthday you care to celebrate.  Includes 32 photopolymer stamps and coordinate with clear blocks a, b, g (sold separately).  Happy Birthday Thinlits Dies – Create die-cut shapes in record time with Thinlits dies and the Big Shot. Create different sizes and styles of tags for that special birthday gift,  1 die – 3-1/4″ x 3″.

For the card on the left I used embossing paste, turned a Delicate White Doily Lemon Lime Twist and stamps from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set on the inside and out.  The card on the right features Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper and the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die.

Below is me using a Stampin’ Spritzer, Lemon Lime Twist re-inker and rubbing alcohol to change the color from white to Lemon Lime Twist to use on the card.  Once the spritzer was filled with rubbing alcohol I added about 10-12 drops of re-inker, shook it up and spritzed away, after a few minutes the doilies were dry. I used a cookie sheet from the dollar store to avoid splatter and keep the mess to a minimum.

Up close look at the crate with matching 3″ x 3″ note cards. To step it up you can die cut the images and use the classic banner punch for the greetings. Check out this blog for the stepped up version of these cards.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

When you spend at least $50 with me and add your order to the current Host Code R4FSMFBJ, making sure to check demonstrator contact, I’ll happily send you a re-useable thank you card and small thank you gift.

If your order is over $150, I hope you’ll use all of the Host Rewards you’ve earned.  Otherwise, I’d love for you to add your order to the current Host Code R4FSMFBJ.

Shades of Blue Eclectic for PCC249

Happy Saturday, hope your weekend is starting off to a good start. After all the rain yesterday today is beautiful and sunny. I’ll be getting ready to host my Sunday Stampers at the house tomorrow and have a manicure & pedicure scheduled later in the day, a monthly treat to myself. What do you treat yourself to?

Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch PCC249 challenge, the banner is below. Hop on over to their blog and check out the design teams cards and play along if you like. Click on the image below for a link.

For my card I decided on the Oh So Eclectic Bundle, it’s one of my favorites from the new catalog.  First I picked the sheet of Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper I wanted to use as the background and that gave me the colors for the card. The card base in Lemon Lime Twist and circle is die cut in Night of Navy using the largest circle of the Stitched Shapes Framelits. In the sketch above it looks like words behind the circle and I used one of the dies from the Eclectic Layers Framelits. Normally this die is not framed out, so using my Paper Snips to hand cut it out and have a stand alone die cut.  Flowers are in Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide and Soft Sky.  Since I could not find my Linen thread, I used the Burlap ribbon and cut four threads from a piece around 15″ long and tied it completely around the card with the bow on the left.

Polished Stone Technique

Today I’m sharing a technique I was reminded of now that Stampin’  Up! is selling Glossy Card stock again. Glossy card stock is 8.5″ x 11″, comes 10 in a pack and has a glossy finish on one side, matte finish on the other and not acid free.

For this technique you need glossy card stock, re-inkers (2-3 colors), two cotton balls and rubbing alcohol.  Take one cotton ball, add some rubbing alcohol and a few (3-6) drops of each re-inker and tap the cotton ball all over the glossy card stock switch position as you tap it, use the other cotton ball to tap off the extra color. It’s fun to do and you are only limited by your imagination. For my card I used Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. Why not try Soft Sky and Blushing Bride; Blushing Bride with Smoky Slate; Smoky Slate with Peekaboo Peach . . . This background is shiny and reminds me of a granite countertop.

To complete the card the glossy cardstock was adhered to a mat of Island Indigo card stock and then a Whisper White card base. You can either use the Island Indigo mat or an extra piece of card stock to die cut Happy Birthday, which I used the Fine-Tip Glue pen to adhere to the card. The finishing touches are three rhinestone on the upper left and lower right.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

When you spend at least $50 with me and add your order to the current Host Code R4FSMFBJ, making sure to check demonstrator contact, I’ll happily send you a re-useable thank you card and small thank you gift.

Sometime Simple is Best

Hope you are having a good week, today I thought I would share a card that was easy to make and packs a punch.

I’m featuring the Just Add Text stamp set, which comes in both wood and clear-mount. You know how to create the card background, and these stamps will make it easy to get the right words in place every time. A mixture of fonts and styles will find you reaching for this set every time you’re in a card-making mood! There are 6 stamps in the set.

The card features a piece of paper from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack in Crushed Curry which I have paired with the new 2017-2019 In-Color Tranquil Tide and Whisper White. The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White, die cut with a Stitched Shape Framelits and layered with ovals from the Layering Oval Framelits.

I’ll be sending this to someone special to let them know I am thinking of them.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

When you spend at least $50 with me and add your order to the current Host Code R4FSMFBJ, making sure to check demonstrator contact, I’ll happily send you a re-useable thank you card and small thank you gift.

Be Inspired by PCC248

Happy Monday, hope you had a great weekend. I was able to spend time in the pool both days until the thunderstorms rolled in Sunday afternoon, then it became chores and craft time. It’s always best to get pool time in when you can on the weekend, no guarantee the next weekend will be as nice.

Todays card is for the FIRST Inspiration Challenge for Challenge #248 with the Paper Craft Crew.  The design team has some really awesome samples that are sure to inspire.  if I had only checked this out before I posted my Friday card, it would have worked as well, you can check that out here. Click on the image below to check out the Paper Craft Crew blog and play along, it’s fun!

For my card I decided on Lemon Lime Twist, Dapper Denim and Bermuda Bay as my colors.  To add texture to the card I decided to use the new Stampin’ Up! Embossing Paste and a Brick Pattern Party Decorative Mask. The Embossing Paste is white and I wanted color so I added few drops of Dapper Denim reinker and some Dazzling Diamond Glitter mixed together on a Silicone Craft sheet, a really like the added sparkle in the embossing paste that matches the sparkle in the Clear Facetted Gem in the center of the middle flower.  To die cut the overlaying flowers, I used Washi tape to hold the two dies together so make it easier. One set of leaves are full strength Lemon Lime Twist and the others where stamped off first for a lighter image.  Sentiment was stamped in Dapper Denim and die cut with a Stitched Shapes Framelit and adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensionals. All flowers were also adhered with a Dimensionals, the center flower has two layered together, this makes it easy to add the leaves with liquid glue.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

Lemon Lime Birthday

Hope you are having a good week.

Today’s card features one of my new favorite 2017-2019 In-Color, Lemon Lime Twist which I used for the card base, stamping and the new ½” twist ribbon. I’ve used a piece of the Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper for the mat, Layering Oval Framelits and Stitched Shapes Framelits for the focal image.

For the stamped image I used the flower stamp from Wood Words and greeting from Birthday Blooms.

This is a fun cheerful card for someone’s birthday.

* Each sheet is double-sided for double the creative options
* 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm)
* Bright color and foil designs printed on kraft paper.
* 12 sheets: 1 each of 3 single-sided designs in 4 colors
* Acid-free
* Lignin free
* Coordinating colors: Berry Burst foil, Kraft, Lemon Lime Twist foil, Soft Sky foil, Tangerine Tango foil

For my note cards I started with a piece of the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer series paper (Tangerine Tango dots) and die cut HI from the Large Letter Framelits and Tangerine Tango flower and congrats from May Flowers and Sunshine wishers. I used the stamp set Timeless Textures to create the background on both note cards and both Timeless Textures and Falling Flowers stamp sets on the envelopes.  This create quick easy cards, perfect for a little note to let someone know you are thinking of them.

Ever use Embossing Paste? I did with PCC247

Happy Friday! Today’s card was a fun card to make. I’m using some of the new products from the annual catalog. Now I must admit when I first saw the Embossing Paste in the catalog it did nothing for me, but once I watched the Stampin’ Up! video it jumped into the top 5 must haves for me, it’s smooth, easy to use and dries really fast. The video is below for your viewing pleasure.  I’m also using the Ribbon of Courage bundle, inspired by Million Sales Achiever Patty Bennett, another must have of mine.

Stamp and cut a support ribbon for your favorite cause. Die includes additional pieces to embellish your ribbon.  Bundle and save! Buy these two coordinating products and save 10%.

Ribbon of Courage Clear-Mount Stamp Set – Courage means so much to those who have it, and possibly even more to those who need it. Partner these encouraging phrases with an adaptable awareness ribbon for truly courageous message.
* Quantity: 5 rubber stamps
* Suggested clear blocks (sold separately): d, g

Support Ribbon Framelits Dies – Create die-cut accents in seconds with Framelits dies and the Big Shot. Framelits’ open design allows you to place them where you want for precise cutting.
* 6 dies and the largest image: 3-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ (8.3 x 5.7 cm)

My card was designed for the Paper Craft Crew card sketch challenge #247, see is below. If you click on the image there is a link directly to their blog and you’ll see the design teams cards and you might decide to play along.

To get started I used the new Embossing paste & palette knife with one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks to create a background in the lower right corner, normally I would have used a stamp to create the background. The card stock is Blushing Bride and I used the natural color of the paste, can’t wait to color some and try it again. By the time I stamped and die cut the ribbon the paste was dry. Next using my 2017-2019 In-Color Stampin’ Write Marker I colored in the ribbon. The Blushing Bride is attached to a mat of Berry Burst, backed with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered to a Whisper White card base. The ribbon, after colored was tapped with Versamark Ink, dusted with Clear Embossing powder and heat set before being adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Sentiment was stamped in Berry Burst, die cut using a Layering Square Framelit and adhered with liquid glue.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day – Craft On!

Make a Wish for PCC246

Hope you had a nice weekend, it was rather rainy for us on Sunday, perfect for a little crafting and some television.

Today’s card is for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch challenge 246, link the image below to check out the design teams ideas as well as other crafters, who knows you may even decide to play along.

For my card I used the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series paper to start my design. There were some small pieces of paper and some extra die cuts from another project laying around and I used those to design the card. Once the Eastern Palace paper was cut I used a Gold Foil Sheet with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits and Lemon Lime Twist card stock with Sunshine Wishes Dies and die cut the needed pieces. The die brush helped get the pieces out easily.

The card features the new Gold Faceted Gems as an accent. Happy Birthday is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp set, which also comes in a bundle including the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die.  This is a bright and cheer card, perfect for a birthday!
