Simple Saturday with Baby Bear

Welcome to Simple Saturday, using one stamp set to create your card. Today I am featuring the photopolymer stamp set Baby Bear.

Remember how a childhood teddy bear holds many great memories, for my brother it was a bear named Pinky. Why not start a baby’s life out with the right teddy bear and the good memories will follow.  Baby Bear is a Two-Step Stampin’ set. Combine individual stamps to build the final image you want in the colors you want.

Here are two cards perfect for a little girl, one has a pink bear and for a more traditional look a brown bear. Pearls and Metallic shapes accent the cards.

How about a blue bear for that new little boy in your life,

Aren’t these cute? Really they are perfect for any age young or old.

With the new 2017 Occasions catalog and Sale-a-Bration starting January 4th, Simple Saturday’s will be put on hold until April so that I can share new products and projects with you over the next few months.

Thank you for stopping by, have a great day. Craft On!

If you need packaging for a card and gift, look no further

Hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday and was able to spend time with family and friends. We had a nice time on both Christmas eve and Christmas Day with family. On Christmas Eve we do a Gift Grab Bag, this year I did a handmade card sampler as my gift.  As a special treat I made each person Hershey Nugget gift bag (individually wrap five nuggets with a 1″x 3″ piece of designer paper and slip into a 2″ x 8″ cello bag, tie with ribbon) – that’s was a total 62, everyone enjoyed them!

Today I thought I would share with you a gift card holder I made using one sheet of 12″x 12″ designer series paper. I found the idea on YouTube by fellow demonstrator Patty Bennett. One of women I work with, Juna,  is having a vow renewal ceremony this week and I wanted to send a card and gift and thought this was perfect. When her and her husband were married 9 years ago it was at city hall, now they are having a ceremony with family and friends, I wish her all the best!

Here is the outside of the Note card holder, I made flowers with the Botanical Builder Framelits – the colors are Night of Navy, Whisper White and Watermelon Wonder for that pop of color. Rhinestones jewels are in the center of each flower. I used a 1″ wide belly band to hold the card closed.

Here is the inside, the coolest thing about this holder is how it’s put together and not needing any adhesive. One one side is the note card with my wedding wishes and the other side holds a gift card nicely.

At the bottom of the post is a link to Patty’s YouTube video if you would like to make one of these holders.

Products used are listed below with link to my online store.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, hope you are enjoying this time with family and friends making memories!

The perfect backdrop for today’s card was sitting in our Christmas tree, hope you enjoy it!

Have a wonderful day, Craft On!

Christmas card tour

Hi there, are you ready for the holiday? Thought I would take time to share with you some of the handmade Christmas cards I received  this year.

First is a card from Valory, one of the 24/7 Stampers (the demonstrator group I’m in with Stampin’ Up!). I’ve met Valory at a few Stampin’ Up! functions, she lives in California.  The greeting is from the Tin of Tags stamp set  and the embossing folder used is Holly Textured, both from Stampin’ Up!

Next are three cards from members of my Sunday Stampers group, some of the products are Stampin’ Up! and some are not. All the cards are beautiful, I am lucky to call these ladies friends.

First is Wendy, featuring the Detailed Floral Thinlits and Wonderful Wreath Framelits.

Second is Theresa, featuring the pine tree from the stamp set Lovely as a Tree.

Third is Susie, her card is bright and cheerful.

Hope you liked the cards, have a great day – Craft On!

Thinking of You . . .

Sometime you just want to send a card to let someone know you are thinking of them, they could be sick, going through a rough patch or just to let them know you care, today’s card is perfect for that.

I’m using the Paisley & Posies Photopolymer Stamp set for the images and Teeny Tiny Wishes for the greeting, with this stamp set you can even change up the greeting for almost any occasions. A simple 1¼” strip of designer paper, coordinating cardstock , die cut shape for stamping, die cut image for layering, banner from a scrap make this card simple to put together. How many of us have strips of paper, including scraps and die cut images in our stash?

Below is a list of products used to make this card, click on any image below to place your order today. Everyone who orders and clicks contact by demonstrator will receive a handmade card and small thank you gift.

Simple Saturday – featuring simple card design

Welcome to Simple Saturday, today I am featuring cards make using a simple card design started from looking at some of the scraps I had laying around the crafting table. There were some 4″ x 4″ pieces of designer series paper and I thought why not layering them to create a card.

The basics for the card:

  • Card base – 4¼” x 11″ scored at 5½” for either top or side fold, your call
  • Card base – 5½” x 8½” scored at 4¼” for either top or side fold, your call
  • Designer Series Paper 4″ x 4″
  • Designer Series Paper 3½” x 3½”
  • Either Whisper White or Very Vanilla for greeting (use around 2″ circle, square or even an oval), I used circles that I had already die cut
  • Coordinating Ribbon or Card stock
  • Embellishments if desired

Since the time for Christmas cards will be ending soon, the first is a Christmas card using the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper and Tin of Tags Stamp Set.

Next is a birthday card featuring the A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack and greeting from Bunch of Blossoms photopolymer stamp set:

Now look at your stash, what do you have laying around you can use?

Sunshine Happiness

Don’t know about you but the last few weeks have been extremely busy with work and holiday events that I’ve not had much time for crafting. Cards are made & out, cookies baked and presents wrapped. Over the remaining weeks of December I have some vacation time and plan on spending a portion of it crafting, need to spend time checking out my pre-ordered 2017 Occasions & Sale-a-Bration products, can’t wait to share those with you!

Today I thought I would share with you how you can use stamping and designer series paper to create the background for your card.  This card features a piece of paper from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack and a stamp from the Playful Background Photopolymer stamp set – I used Old Olive (a coordinating color), since there are circles on the paper thought the stamp matched nicely.  The Watermelon Wonder flower adds a nice pop of color to the card!

Below are the products used on the card, click on any image for more information or to order your own supplies today. Everyone ordering from me will receive a handmade card and small thank you gift.

This week I am featuring items you can make for easy last minute gifts and the final week will be a summary of all the prior weeks. Below is a Diaper fold candy holder, decorated Petite Café Gift Bag and Kraft Tag a Bag, perfect for holding either a gift card or cash.

These two projects a Note Card Purse (with the Gold Binder Clip, cased from Dee Slater) and Note Card holder (cased from Patty Bennett) are perfect when giving a gift of either cards or a combination of cards and gift card/cash.  The Note Card Purse uses one piece of 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper and no special tools, the smaller holder is perfect for note cards and depending on where the center fold(s) are you can make either a folder or book type holder.

Simple Saturday with Rose Wonder

Welcome to Simple Saturday, using one stamp set for today’s cards. Today I am featuring the photopolymer stamp set Rose Wonder from the annual catalog which has matching Rose Garden Thinlits.

This is the stamp set you need for life’s major events—birthdays, weddings, sympathy. And for the everyday—thanks, friendship, encouragement. Make a stack to keep on hand and you’ll never be unprepared. There are 14 photopolymer stamps and coordinate with clear blocks b, c, d, f and g which are sold separately.

Here are a few cards I’ve made using this stamp set. For one I’ve used an image to create the background and for the others layered the Thinlits with the sentiments to create beautiful cards for both a birthday and wedding. The wedding card uses glimmer paper and heat embossing for the sentiment. What is nice about this set is that each sentiment has matching words for the inside of the card.

Simple Saturday with Work of Art

Welcome to Simple Saturday, using one stamp set to create your cards. Today I am featuring from the annual catalog the 11 stamp set “Work of Art” – Painted swatches, swaths, and shapes–you decide which strokes are right for your project when you need just one more element in the background.  This stamp set comes in both wood or clear mount, using clear blocks A, B, D and H (which are sold separately).

The first two include a flower/sky scene and Snowman. To create the flower I used the Stamp-a-ma-Jig to stamp the hearts to create the flower.  For the Snowman, metallic enamel dots add a little bling to his scarf.
