Sad day, End of Sale-A-Bration

Happy Monday, today is the last day of Sale-A-Bration, which is free merchandise for every $50 before tax/shipping.

Todays card uses the “You’re Lovely” stamp set which coordinates with the Deco Label Framelit Collection. The stamp was stamped in three different colors, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight – die cut, punched (1 3/4″ circle) and hand cut with Stampin’ Up Paper Snips and layered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The Scalloped Tag Topper Punch was used to create a unique opening. Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper, Daffodil Delight and Island Indigo round out the paper used.  Highlighted the inside of the card with “Gorgeous Grunge” stamp set and additional stamps from the “You’re Lovely” set.

Hope you enjoyed todays card, Craft On!

Sunset Colors = Card

This past week I was out of town for a business meeting.  The flight home was during sunset. The view out of the plane window was beautiful – the lights of NYC (amazing how straight some of the streets are by the look of the car lights) and the sunset!  As I looked at the beautiful colors of the sunset – all I could think of was Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist and Wisteria Wonder – that’s when you really know you are a Stampin’ Up! Stamper !   This view inspired the card today.  I used scraps of white paper and dragged the ink pads across to create the paper used for the banners.  For the greeting, markers were used to color letters and words to match the banners. Enjoy, Craft On!

Island Hunters inspired card!

This past Friday night “Island Hunters” was on while I was doing some chores in preparation for a business trip this week. I was inspired by the birds that I kept seeing.  All I could do was think of this card, so I stopped and put it together. It’s very easy card for a beach loving friend!

Card base is Crumb Cake (a favorite of mine) and side folding.   Sponge Daubers where used and I mixed Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake to make the sand and Marian Mist and Wisteria Wonder for the sky.  Seagulls and Birthday Greetings from ‘The Wetlands’ stamp set. Finished the card with Crumb Cake ribbon and used Stampin Dimensions to pop up.

Now off to packing for an early morning flight. Have a great week. Have fun Crafting!

Clean Simple card for FMS 128

Happy Friday!  It’s been a busy week at work and I am looking forward to relaxing, spending some time crafting and getting a mani/pedi, (a great way to relax). Our anniversary was this week (26 years!). It was a cold, rainy day so we decided to have dinner out  Saturday night at a favorite restaurant to celebrate, no sense going out in the pouring rain

My card today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches. As soon as I saw the sketch, I thought of any extra flower I had from practicing a painting technique and a card was born.

The card is a top folding, using Basic Black Cardstock. There is a piece of Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper with a piece of Strawberry Slush covering  the bottom third. Piece of Basic Black 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon covers the seam and I used the Flower (from the Peaceful Petals Stamp Set) as the bow.  The flower is embossed in white on Shimmery White paper, lightly sprayed with water and colored with ink from a re-inker and a Aqua Painter, cut out with my favorite ‘ SU Paper Snips’.  Greeting is from the Too Kind Stamp set.

Sunday Stamp Club

Today was the monthly meeting of my Sunday Stamp Club.  Thanks to all the ladies that came today (Jamie, Erin, Theresa, Wendy and Hostess Susie), you are the reason I became a demonstrator and enjoy sharing what I learn with you, actually we learn from each other.  Now I get to share what we do with the world!

One of the cards we made today, “Banner Happy Birthday” uses the Banner Blast Stamp Set and Banner Punch from the Sale-A-Bration catalog (free product with every $50 spent, before tax/shipping).  The color combination used for the card is from the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper – Basic Black. Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Strawberry Slush.  Card base is Crumb Cake, cut 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″ for a top fold card. Used the Adorning Accents edgelits to create the black  “ribbon” used to hang the banners.  Accent is a flower punched using  the Petite Petals Punch and Itty Bitty Shapes Punch and Rhinestone Basic Jewel for some bling!

Kenzi’s 16th Birthday!

Earlier this year my god-daughter turned 16, today I wanted to share the card with matching envelope that I made for her special day!

Card base is Basic Black cardstock, with mat of Whisper White cardstock layered with a piece of Pistachio Pudding cardstock embossed with the Decorative Dots folder from the Sale-A-Bration catalog (free merchandise for every $50 in product purchased, catalog expires 3/31/14).

Next is a piece of Basic Black cardstock that I used the Scallop Edge Border punch on both sides and layered with a piece of paper from the “Sweet Sorbert” Designer Series Paper pack, from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  Used the same paper and the Envelope Punch Board to create the matching envelope.

Created the tag with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and Perfect Pennant Stamp set, both from the 2014 Occasions Catalog.  Greeting and decorative line is stamped with Crisp Cantaloupe ink.  Stars are stamped in Pistachio Pudding ink, hand cut with Stampin’ Up Paper Snips (one of my new favorite products) and topped with Crystal Effects for the Glossy look. Sponged around the edges of the tag to highlight against the background of designer paper.  Basic Black Taffeta ribbon and Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Ribbon used as accents on the tag.  Tag attached with Stampin Dimentionals.

Great weekend project!

It was a snowy day here, not the original 10″-12″ of snow expected on Friday, but around 3″, we dodged another snow storm! Turned out to be the perfect day for me to put the fireplace on in the sun porch and get my craft on.  With day light savings time one week away, thoughts of spring were running through my head. I got out my “Burlap and Blooms Simply Created Wreath Kit” and spend a few hours putting it together, the perfect weekend project. Flowers are easy to put together, deciding how to group them on the wreath was the hardest part! Now I have beautiful wreath to welcome in Spring! Hope you had a crafty weekend too!
