Watercolor & Hockey makes me Happy!

It’s Thursday night and Penguin Hockey has started back up after the break for the Olympics. Love to watch my black & gold and am really looking forward to Saturday nights game in Chicago which is being played outdoors, while I am in the comfort of my warm living room.  Thought I would share a quick and simple card with you while I enjoy watching the game.  The card is made using the “Happy Watercolor” stamp set (Clear # 133191)  from the 2014 Occasions Catalog.  Card base is Calypso Coral and I used Baked Brown Sugar, Wild Wasabi and Calypso Coral to stamp the ‘watercolor’ background on Whisper White – then used Early Espresso to stamp the flower. Greeting is also stamped with Early Espresso.  This card can also be made using the same color and background stamped three different times without re-inking for a gradient look.  Enjoy!full size card copy

Welcome!

Hi there and welcome to Cards and Crafting with Karen. Looking forward to the weekend, spending time with my husband and doing some crafting. Wanted to share with you a card I did recently for a workshop, Card-in-a-Box. The cool thing about the card is it folds flat and fits in a normal A2 envelope.  The card base is Summer Starfruit and I used, Flower Shop (with matching punch) and Petite Petals (with matching punch) for the flower. Hope you enjoy it!
